To use our service, print out a Service Request Form and fill in the information requested. Send the form and the card to us in a padded or stiff cardboard envelope (don't use a regular business or letter envelope, the cards can fall out). FlashFixers will evaluate your memory card, contact you regarding status, complete the recovery (if possible), and return the card and file recovery CD to you by the selected shipping method.

Hard Drive Recovery
If you use a hard drive, one thing is certain: over time it will fail. Statistics tell us on average about 2% of hard drives fail each year. That's why it's important to have a good backup plan so the impact of a catastrophic hard drive failure to you or your organization is minimized. We recommend you backup your files on a regular basis using CDs, DVDs, hard drives, or other media. With the convenience of USB and Firewire plug-and-play connections, and given the low cost of backup storage, it's a small price to pay to avoid big problems later. A few minutes of planning and regular backup maintenance is all that's needed to avoid the agony and frustration of losing precious (sometime irreplaceable) data.

Still, if your backup plan was not up-to-date - or your backup itself failed you - all is not lost! Data recovery speciasts at FlashFixers can acesss your hard drive and very often recover all your missing files. All this is done at a very reasonable price. We do this by using the latest non-invasive recovery techniques and analysis software (i.e. we don't open your hard drive in a clean room). Other recovery companies can charge thousands of dollars for recovery, but our prices are charged at a flat rate of $149 for 2.5" drives and $199 for 3.5" drives, plus $15 per CD or DVD backup data disk. If you have more than 20GB of data, you have the option to have your data recovered to another USB/FireWire portable hard drive.

Surprisingly, most storage companies DO NOT do data recovery and have NO liability for your lost data. If your drive is still under warranty, and if you remove or damage the "Warranty Void if Removed" sticker, they are not obligated to replace your unit. Read the fine print of your warranty agreement if you don't believe this. But when FlashFixers accesses the drive to recover your data, your warranty rights are still preserved. All you need to do is include a copy of our sales receipt when you send the drive back to the company under warranty for replacement.

To use our service, print out a Service Request Form and fill in the information requested. Send the form and hard drive to our FlashFixers lab at the address listed. Make sure you package the drive carefully using plenty of bubbly wrap or other cushioning materials. Seal everything in a sturdy cardboard box. We recommend you use one of the nationwide courier companies like FedEx, UPS or DHL for tracking and insurance purposes. Once we receive the drive, we log it in and start our evaluation - at no charge to you. Within a few days you will then be contacted with the results and the options you have for returning your recovered data. If your drive is found to be defective such that no data can be recovered using our non-invasive methods, the drive can be sent back to you for an $8 return shipping charge. If the data is absolutely critical and money is no object, we can also refer you to one of our partner data recovery companies. They will open up the drive in a cleanroom and extract whatever data is possible and charge you directly for that service.

Card Duplication
FlashFixers now offers mass duplication of memory cards. We copy your memory card image (in small or large quanties) onto any one of the following card types: CompactFlash, Microdrive, SecureDigital, Memory Stick, Memory Stick PRO, mini-SD, SmartMedia, MultiMediaCard, or xD card. In conjunction with card servives, we can supply you with un-labeled memory cards for custom labeling and packaging.
